For this kitchen project, we removed the dark builder grade cabinetry and brightened up the space for this family of 4 by replacing it with creamy white cabinets and a beautiful deep navy island. The previous cabinets did not go up to the ceiling and made the space feel busy and cluttered with straight lines at the top of the cabinets that collided with the beautiful arches of the openings in the existing space. We brought in a complimentary arch with the new crown molding and added more rounded shapes with the airy light fixtures to further accentuate the beautiful curves within this home. We repurposed the unused bonus room off of the kitchen and turned it into a nice sized butler’s pantry with craft/office space. The result is a beautiful, functional and enjoyable space for the whole family to share.
